Clifford
and Rosemary Ellis were married in 1931 and worked as
collaborating artists. Producing artwork for Collins
New Naturalist Series, Empire Marketing Board, the
General Post Office, London Transport and Shell.
Their distinctive dust jacket designs helped to make
the Collins New Naturalist Series one of the most
widely read and recognised natural history
publications. They created nearly 100 New Naturalist
dust jackets over a forty year period.
