Debbie
Grice is a prolific artist and illustrator. She
graduated from the Royal College of Art in London
with a masters degree in Natural History Illustration
in 1998 after receiving a First Class degree from
Glasgow School of Art. Whilst studying at the Royal
College of Art she won the ‘Folio Society’ Award and
had her work reviewed in ‘Creative Review’ magazine.
Her work has been exhibited both in the UK and abroad
as well as at the Society of Wildlife Artists annual
exhibition in the Mall Galleries, London.
Debbie lives and works in the Yorkshire Wolds, close to the inspirational Bempton Cliffs and the North Yorkshire Moors. There she emotes her love and understanding of our land. Married to Andrew Tyzack she is the ‘beekeepers wife’, jarring honey and creating the beautiful labels for the jars. Debbie produces evocative mezzotint engravings of apiaries. She is also a qualified pilot and is featured in a Wellcome Trust Community TV production.
